Nightmare scenario for Somerville fire…

We all know that public safety is a tough job for both Police and Fire. The jobs can be thankless and prove very high risk. This morning the Boston Globe reported on this fire in a single family home in Somerville which took the life of a woman in her 90’s. There’s a rumor floating around that a Somerville firefighter who was responding to this fire was an actual family member of the deceased woman. I can’t begin to imagine how horrible this must have been.

Tonight my thoughts and prayers are with this firefighter and public safety officials everywhere.
