Ella is a Dot Rat…

Sometimes when your scooter doesn’t cooperate, you need to show it who’s boss. To the boys and girls on the playground consider this a warning….don’t mess with Ella!

Capturing a Dot Rat…

For my money…this has to be in the top 10 iconic Dot Rat photos of all time.  Third generation #dotrat #dorchester #Boston #bostonphotography #babymodel photo by @kczdot89 pic.twitter.com/3cVV0hj8mV — elizabeth everson (@LimeLizzie) August 19, 2015

Are you an All Star?

Are you an All Star?

Are you the guy that can drink beers and American Honey all day then hit Hemey Park, put one over the fence and be up for church the next day? Maybe you’re the gal that can organize PTO meetings, work a shift, get the kids to hockey, food shop, workout, watch over homework assignments then squeeze in some social time with the girlfriends up at the Blarney….in the same day.  Maybe you crisscross the city all day long reaching out to Bostonians in an effort to make the city the best it can be…..because you have been elected mayor.

The people of Dorchester live life like All Stars…

So, I decided to make a shirt inspired by the original All Stars (you know who you are). Have it made by Boston’s only union screenprinter, then dedicate it to the hardest working, most resilient and fun loving people I know….Dot Rats.

Look for it soon at Beantown Athletics!

Semper Fi Jack…

Semper Fi Jack…

I just want to take a moment to send a shout out to a Dot Rat All Star and all around good guy, Jack O’Toole. This BLS alum has decided to serve his country and will be leaving for Paris Island on Monday. Jack is

Mayor 54…

Mayor 54…

It’s official….a Dot Rat is mayor of Boston. The goosebumps moment for me during the speech was his reference to the hills of Boston and that the focus should not only be on Beacon Hill but also on Savin Hill, Telegraph Hill, Bunker Hill, Popes

Take care of your cah!

Take care of your cah!

So my buddy Ben calls me up and is like “Dude…we gotta help Dot Rats take better care of their cahs.” and I’m like “your absolutely right…there’s some pretty busted looking cahs driving around the hood these days…..it’s embarrassing. But how do you suggest we solve this epidemic doobie?” and he’s like “WTF dude? Send em to my shop.”

Actually, Ben Cochran has been a close friend of mine for 20 years. One day while working for Blue Cross Blue Shield over in Quincy he decided he wanted to work for himself and build his own detailing business. A lot of people thought he was crazy to walk away from such a good job. It wasn’t always easy, but through his excellent work and loyal customers, Ben has built Cochran Auto Detailing into one of the best detailing shops around. It’s been a decade and he now owns 2 locations in Weymouth.

He’s even worked with the Red Sox a few occasions.

Ben understands the science behind keeping your automobile at showroom condition. He has literally immersed himself in his trade over the years and deals with latest technologies in car finishes, interiors and window tinting. This is not a car wash that sells detailing services as a secondary option….these are true professionals.

Go in and mention that you’re a Dot Rat and they will give you 25 bucks off any services over 150…..including gift cards. You can also purchase gift cards through the website. Enter coupon code : dotrat25 to receive your discount.

Now….get your @sses down to Ben and clean your cahs!

Why Marty won…

Why Marty won…

It’s pretty obvious he won because he’s a Dot Rat first and foremost. If it sounds like I’m gloating, it’s because I am. I’m extremely psyched for this guy and I think the example he’s put forth will inspire a whole new generation of Dorchester

A Dot Rat takes the oath…

A Dot Rat takes the oath…

I would like to take a moment to recognize my nephew Andrew. Today he was sworn into the United States Army and I couldn’t be more proud. There are few things more honorable than serving your country. He is the product of two very loving

We love you Jane!

We love you Jane!

I just wanted to take a moment and acknowledge the awesome story the Dorchester Reporter did on Jane Richard today. Seeing her standing there with a huge smile on her face kind of made all my problems seem very petty and small. Jane fought like a Dot Rat and while we have all seen the photos of the victims in various stages of recovery and drawn inspiration from them….Jane’s picture is downright iconic. Whether she knows it or not, she is virtually thumbing her nose at all those who would think to attack this country.

Jane and her family are tough as nails and embody everything good about Dorchester and America!

Now if everyone will excuse me…I’m about to go kiss the Stars and Stripes and eat a cheeseburger. ‘MERICA!

God I’m feeling inspired!

Country Fest is coming…

Country Fest is coming…

And like any enterprising, handsome, brilliant, and sexy bullsh*t artist I created a Dot Rat shirt for the occasion. Not because I needed the money…. Country Fest is all about freedom, copious amounts of alcohol, fatty food and people with cowboy hats sporting Boston accents.
