Air Force One?
Listen, I don’t pretend to know every protocol for FAA communications or the security of our commander in chief. I have always been fascinated by flight and I’m scheduled to take my own flying lessons soon. But wouldn’t you think all communications between Air Force One and our regional approach centers and towers would be secure? In my mind, in a post 9/11 world there’s no reason for the public to know what vicinity the president’s jet is in or have any data on coordinates. Why is this dude sitting in a SUV listening in on a scanner? I’m guessing he’s a hobbyist…but it’s still a little unsettling.
