A rainy October night…

Ten years ago on a rainy evening much like tonight, the Red Sox took a 19 run beating at the hands of the New York Yankees.

I’m not certain what exactly happened that evening but, October 16th served as a turning point. It was if the Red Sox finished the last chapter of a horrific novel they had been trying to finish since 1918. After that evening New York would not win another game for the entire series and the Red Sox would not lose another game during the ALCS and the ensuing World Series….clinching their first championship in 86 years.

It’s something I will never forget for a long as I live….
